Outcome Harvesting Community Exchange Meeting Tanzania

After years of inspiring webinars, online exchanges, and growing connections across borders, it’s finally time to meet face-to-face!

We’re thrilled to invite all Outcome Harvesting practitioners to join us for our first in-person OH community exchange meeting.

Over the years, the Outcome Harvesting (OH) community has grown into a vibrant global network of practitioners. Members have connected regularly through webinars, online discussions, and collaborative work and many have met each other in various settings and roles.

At the same time, many OH users have expressed a strong desire to meet in person to deepen their practice and strengthen relationships across regions, sectors, and contexts. In response to this shared aspiration, we are now organising the first face-to-face gathering of the OH community. From 7- 9 July 2026, we will meet at MS TCDC in Tanzania to bring this vision to life.

This is your chance to:

·       Deepen our collective knowledge and practice of Outcome Harvesting

·       Learn from each other’s experiences, challenges, and innovations

·       Reflect on the future and development of OH

·       Build stronger personal and professional connections across the global OH network

Who Should Attend?

This event is open to all OH practitioners, regardless of experience level. This exchange is however not an introductory training. Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of what Outcome Harvesting is. There will be no sessions dedicated to covering the fundamentals, but rather a focus on peer learning, sharing, and practice.

Format and Approach

This is an in-person, participatory eventco-created by community members. OH practitioners from around the world will not only participate, but are also helping to shape the agenda, facilitate sessions, and contribute their experiences.

There will be a mix of structured sessions such as clinics, skills labs, and World Cafés, alongside open spaces for spontaneous topics and deep-dive conversations.

Structured Sessions may include:

·       Case Clinics - OH practitioners bring a real OH challenge and explore it with peers

·       Case Presentations - OH case presentation followed by Q&A

·       World Café Conversations - Exchange of diverse perspectives on shared questions

·       Tool and Skills Labs - Exploration of tools, software, and hands-on techniques

·       Deep Dives - Focused discussions on specific themes or contexts

Open Space Sessions

Time will be reserved for participant-led sessions to emerge spontanously based on participants ideas, questions or contributions.

Collective Reflection

The programme will include space for group reflection, synthesis, and forward-looking dialogue, to capture shared insights and imagine what’s next for Outcome Harvesting.

Possible Topics

Session topics are proposed by participants. These include, for example:

  • Using OH for sensemaking and strategic reflection

  • Outcome Harvesting as a monitoring approach

  • Tools for OH: databases, AI, and analysis software

  • How to formulate complex or sensitive outcomes

  • Feminist and power-aware OH

  • Substantiating outcomes

  • Combining OH with other methods (e.g. theory of change, contribution analysis)

  • Embedding OH in organisational MEL systems

  • Maximising participation

  • Participants OH challenges

  • Creative and experimental uses of OH
